Gliwice City and Cultural Integration Foundation invites you to:

Dutch altoist and composer Paul van Kemenade (1957) (Dutch Boy Edgar awardwinner and 5* Downbeat) with his latest quartet ‘Three Horns And A Bass’(THAAB).

Van Kemenade’s  THAAB is a not often heard combination in a nimble occupation that

goes in all directions with the three horn players Louk Boudesteijn (trombone), Angelo Verploegen (fluegelhorn and Paul van Kemenade (altosax & compositionss) and bassist

Wiro Mahieu, who feel each other flawlessly.

• Downbeat (US): His alto darts and dives luxuriously, a rainbow feathered bird of paradise riding to the stratosphere.Collaborations with ‘Three horns and a bass’ Angelo Verploegen and Louk Boudesteijn suggest a regular band given the perfect tonal overlay, bassist Wiro Mahieu as a fine counterweight. 5*

• Jazz Inside Magazine (US): worldclass, very complete ,a quiet gem.

• Jazzquad (RU): Van Kemenade is distinguished by his unusual creative activity, unusual instrumentation and compositions.

• Salt Peanuts (NO): brilliant, Van Kemenade has surpassed himself.

• Jazzman (FR): un total bonheur de jazz. Magistral (choc)
